Healthy Eating

At Mini Miracles Montessori we understand the importance of a healthy, balanced diet, especially for the growth and development of young children.

Not only do we promise to meet your child’s nutritional requirements we also strive to encourage good food habits too. If a child has any special dietary requirements or allergies we will always ensure that these needs are met and will discuss arrangements with their parents when needed.

We have enlisted the help of a nutritionist to devise our weekly menus. Our aim is to provide fresh, balanced, healthy meals to all children at each meal or snack time.

We also understand that meal times are a learning experience; from the fine motor development of using cutlery, to the awareness of good manners and politeness. Meal times should be fun for all and are a great opportunity for our nursery practitioners to bond with your child. They are sociable learning opportunities, where we teach children about good manners, different foods and how to feed themselves independently.

Where possible, the fruit and vegetables used are organic and the meat is free range. Fresh water is available to the children at all times whereas milk is provided at certain intervals throughout the day. All children are offered at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every single day.
